Monster Choir - Sound Patterns...
I wanted to share one of my favourite sites with everyone. You may already have seen and used this... but in case you haven't, here is the link
This is a really fun sound pattern game that is fabulous to use on an Interactive White Board, and perfect for including when teaching Kindergarten kiddies about patterns. I was introduced to this site by my Supervising Teacher on my last teaching prac. We used it quite a bit and it was so engaging, as well as being a great classroom management tool (everyone wanted to have a turn...and it was amazing to see how quiet even the liveliest little person was, just so they could have a turn)!!
It really is a fun and effective activity to include in your resource list for teaching Kindergarten children about patterns. My Australian teaching friends can also access this from the secured section of the DET curriculum support website via the DET Intranet, if you have access.
I hope you find this useful.

Tina I had to visit and say how lovely this is just wish I was a teacher now so I could have an excuse to use your wonderful resources...then again maybe I could just use them for me!!!!! xx
ReplyDeleteJulienne, you are without a doubt one of the loveliest ladies I have ever met (or not met...you know what I mean!). Thank you so much for stopping by and for your encouragement, it means the world to me! As always, sending much love your way, sweet friend ~ Txx
ReplyDeleteI agree with Julienne above - if only I wasn't on maternity leave at present I'd be giving this resource a try on the Interactive Whitebaord - looks like a gem of a find.
ReplyDeleteWow, Tina, you have opened up a whole new world for me. I can't believe I didn't look for Kinder blogs earlier. There are so many good ideas and time savers to be found.
ReplyDeleteI remember when I graduated I had a huge box of resources I had to store. Imagine how much easier it would have been to do it all on line.
Good luck, this blog will be a great resource.
Tina, what a fantastic blog you have here...some great resources that will definitely come in handy for me and some great links of other blogs that I can add to my resources :)
